Assistant Building Maintenance Executive

Primary Duties

a) Operational Support

● Assist the Building Maintenance Executive (BME) in daily operations.

● Check WI-FI signal, AV system, CCTV, ACMV and lift operations.

● Ensure all feedback or fault reports are attended to promptly.

● Arrangement of tables and chairs during Friday Prayers and events.

● Work hand in hand with Mosque Ambassador and Cleaners

● Assist in emergency drills in compliance with statutory requirements.

b) Maintenance & Facility Management

● Supervise, plan, and organise service providers (building, pest control, cleaning, plumbing, and sanitary) to maintain the common areas.

● Ensure all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems are operational and certified; report any abnormalities or downtime to the reporting officer.

● Supervise all monthly servicing activities, ensure service providers complete all scheduled tasks, and verify service reports before submitting them to the reporting officer.

● Walk on the ground as part of the job duties to inspect areas and perform minor repairs.

c) Contractor & Vendor Management

● Supervise and coordinate with on-site contractors to address building defects; ensure timely completion and proper updates on repair work.

● Follow up with contractors on repair and replacement works to ensure adherence to specifications.

Secondary Duties

● Provide operational and manpower support for Mosque events/ Friday Prayers

● Provide support in the department’s collective initiatives and implementations, and contribute recommendations for continuous improvement

● Assist and review mosque asset inventory list regularly and update any discrepancy to BME

Requirements

● Nitec / Higher Nitec or equivalent certificate in Building Facilities Management from a recognised technical institute and building-related certificates with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

● Customer oriented, cheerful disposition, well- presented, meticulous with a keen attention to details

● Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate across all levels

● Possess high level of personal integrity and able to exercise initiative, assume responsibility for tasks, projects and to resolve problems.

● Confident, mature, forward-thinking, and self-motivated with proven ability to work independently as well as a good team player

● Able to be flexible and adaptable

● Seeking a proficient bilingual (English and Malay) individual to effectively engage with Malay-speaking congregants

● Able to perform standby duty as required by the Management.
