Associate Psychologist

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

To deliver psychological services in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and YH campus. To provide the initial psychological review for patients referred for psychological services, to right site and improve management of patient care within a multi-disciplinary team and liaison with community partners.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) SPECIFIC (80%)

• To provide psychological triage service for inpatients and outpatients referred for psychology services, to right site patients to appropriate psychological services or services within KTPH or community services.
• To provide brief individual psychological services for inpatients and outpatients including intake assessment and therapeutic intervention for mild to moderate complexity.
• To provide brief group psychological services for inpatients and outpatients (e.g. psychoeducation group, relaxation, stress management, weight management).

(B) GENERAL (20%)

• To participate in research in collaboration with other specialists.
• To conduct talks or relevant sharing in psychology or related subjects to mental health to other professionals and/or psychology students.
• To undertake any special duties as assigned by CEO, CMB, COO, HOD and supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Recognized degree in Psychology with Good Honours

PROFESSIONAL LICENCE

• Preferably holding or eligible for a valid registration, license or practising certificate with an established or recognized psychological professional body such as APA, APS or BPS.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTE
