Job Summary
You will be deployed to an MOE affiliated school. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's AV and PA systems, providing technical support for lessons, events, and exams, coordinating with ICT teams and vendors, handling equipment inventory and maintenance, and assisting with video production and editing.
Responsibilitie
Public Address (PA) System
- Handle PA system issues and maintenance in school, working with external vendors when needed for unresolved problems, installation, maintenance and/or repair works.
Audio-Visual Resources
- Provide AV/Multimedia technical support to staff to facilitate the delivery of lessons, CCA, exams, meetings and at school events and functions
- Manage AV equipment during school events, meetings and exams, including set-ups as requested by school staff.
- Maintain inventory and loan records of AV and PA-related equipment, perform checks on inventory
- Work closely with ICT team (e.g. ICT Manager/Associate, Desktop Engineers) on AV/Multimedia requirements and support required by staff, student, Infocomm Club (CCA)
- Provide AV/Multimedia technical support to staff to facilitate the delivery of lessons, CCA, exams, meetings and at school events and functions
- Provide technical advice on the AV needs of the school to support teaching and learning, exams, events and functions.
- Manage AV equipment in classrooms and special rooms. Monitor the equipment usage and perform maintenance on a termly basis.
- Perform half yearly preventive maintenance for all standard classroom equipment (projector, visualizer) for teaching and learning in all classrooms.
- Troubleshoot and provide AV solutions; take initiative to explore new ways of solving AV & broadcast related issues.
- Interact and guide students in managing the AV equipment.
Other Duties
- Support staff in video production using tools such as iMovie, Filmora, or Canva for educational and school-related projects.
- Provide assistance in basic video editing.
Requirements
- Relevant certification in audio, video, or media production field;
- 1 year of working experience with AV equipment;
- 1 year of working experience with broadcasting event;
- 1 year of working experience in a school-based environment.
Additional Details
- Work Area: Yishun, Canberra
- Working Schedule
- School Days: Mondays to Tuesdays and Thursdays to Fridays: 7.00 am to 4.15 pm, inclusive of 45 mins lunch break
- School Holidays: Mondays to Tuesdays and Thursdays to Fridays: 7.30 am to 4.45 pm, inclusive of 45 mins lunch break
- Rest Days: No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
- Contract Period: 15 Sep 2025 to 31 Dec 2026, with the option to extend for an additional one year, subject to the school’s approval.
