Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented BIM Modeller to join our M&E team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) for mechanical and electrical systems in construction projects. The BIM Modeller will work closely with engineers, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure the accurate representation of M&E designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Modelling: Develop, modify, and maintain 3D BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in line with project specifications and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with M&E engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure coordination and integration of M&E systems within the overall project model.
- Clash Detection: Identify and resolve clashes and coordination issues within the BIM model, ensuring that all systems are effectively integrated and compliant with design requirements.
- Drawing & Documentation: Produce and update detailed drawings, layouts, and technical documentation based on the BIM model.
- Model Management: Maintain version control, ensure data integrity, and manage the flow of information within the BIM platform.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the project team and help in the resolution of model-related issues during design and construction phases.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that the BIM models adhere to company standards, client specifications, and industry best practices.
- Site Coordination: Assist in the preparation of site-specific installation plans and logistics based on the BIM models.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize BIM software tools (such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar) to create, manage, and analyze M&E models.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience in BIM modelling within the M&E or construction industry.
- Proficiency in BIM software tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP).
- Strong understanding of M&E systems, construction drawings, and design specifications.
- Knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Experience with clash detection, model review, and coordination is a plus.
