Key Job Accountabilities (Actual daily deliverables):

The Buyer shall perform the following procurement tasks for semiconductor equipment, spares and fabricated parts:

• Identify and develop new sources to reduce total cost.
• Creates request for quotations (RFQ) and negotiate to obtain best terms and conditions on competitive price, payment terms, quality, delivery, warranty and services to organization.
• Identify purchasing risks and flag concerns. Follow up on problematic parts and service matters until they are resolved with suppliers and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance of company standards, procurement policies and procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement such as quality improvement, cost reduction, lead-time reduction, payment terms improvements.
• Able to work independently with people at all levels in a fast-paced environment.
• Undertake ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications (Required knowledge, skills and experience---however acquired):

• Diploma or Degree holder, preferably in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience, preferably in semiconductor or electronics industries.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• SAP knowledge
