Job Description

Responsibilites:-

Take the conceptual design through to implementation and handover;
Progress all elements of design in-line with the Design Checklist;
Production of tender specifications and ensuring these align with contractual obligations;
Mentor of Mechanical Designers with the intent of securing properly trained personnel for the continual expansion of the company;
Ensure the System Supervisor is provided with the current shop and space management drawings, specifications, approved technical submittals and all approved changes in scope;
Design and develop plant equipment, operations, and processes.
Analyze and interpret data from chemical production tests.
Inspect plant operations, spot issues, and troubleshoot them.
Make sure manufacturing processes and plants run in line with regulations.
Advise on equipment requirements and operating conditions for new plants.
Evaluate environmental effects of different chemicals.
Calculate production costs and economic viability of new processes.
Collaborate with engineering teams on process hazard analysis studies.
Analyze process stimulation and experimental data.
Execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and recommend maintenance.
Supervise commissioning and start-up of new production facilities.
Forward testing and commission passing criteria to the System Supervisor;
Evaluate progress claims against work complete;
Evaluate contractor variation quantity claimed is accurate.
