Director Central Product Quality Engineering

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP, Front End Central Quality, you will be directly responsible for the overall Front End Quality Strategic Program, you will lead and handle new tech-node start-ups, greenfield start-ups, and defense line hardening initiatives. You will ensure that all quality standards and objectives are met throughout these processes. You will oversee end-to-end tech-node quality from New Product Introduction (NPI) to High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM), partnering with the Technology Development (TD) team, Front End (FE) manufacturing, and Central Teams, such as but not limited to, Operations Central Team (OCT) and Central Product Integration Engineering (CPIE), to minimize deviations at each stage of the product life cycle, which involves detailed monitoring and quality control to ensure flawless integration and performance of new technologies.

Other Responsibilities:

• Build an effective team and optimize department performance and structure
• Deliver outstanding functional service by establishing organizational roadmaps and strategies to drive long-term vision for striking quality performance and deployment of the strategies
• Ensure team members are accurately trained according to department compliance and work requirements
• Lead internal budgets and drive active cost reductions
• Identify and understand department service requirements, ensuring they align with partners’ expectations
• Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic business decisions

Candidate Profile:

You must have at least a bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience in process quality and/or quality management in a high value/high volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the semiconductor industry with front-end experience and at least 7 years in a people management role. You must have good experience and/or knowledge in technical quality management and quality control systems with a consistent track record in yield improvement. You must possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to work at all levels.

Develops, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations. Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
