Drafter

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Assist in the monthly forecasts of project performance;

· Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;

· Proposal and preparation of material samples;

· Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;

· Proposing cost-effective solutions for the intended project;

· Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives;

· Prepare, Sketch and produce Autocad site drawings to achieve approval from clients;

· Surveying the site to assist in the drawings and production of setting out & levelling for installation purposes;

· Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;

· Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;

· Liaising with any consultants, PE Engineers subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project for necessary submissions;

· Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;

· Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;

· Produce site cutting lists for procurement and fabrication purposes;

· Finalize as built drawings with quantity surveyors for final claim purposes;

· Preparing reports as required;

· Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

· Minimum 1 year relevant working experience with LTA & SMRT project or equivalent.
