electrical work supervisor

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Work Supervisor to lead our team of electricians on various projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with codes and project specifications. You will be the critical link between field operations and project management, driving productivity and maintaining our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Direct, supervise, and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices on-site.
• Assign tasks, manage daily work schedules, and ensure optimal crew productivity.
• Conduct toolbox talks and provide technical guidance to resolve complex electrical issues.
• Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative team environment.

Project Management & Execution:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Plan and coordinate electrical installations, renovations, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, reporting updates to the Project Manager.
• Manage on-site material and equipment logistics, including requisitions and inventory.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company standards.
• Perform rigorous quality control inspections of work in progress and upon completion.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including as-built drawings and daily reports.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce and promote a "Safety First" culture at all times.
• Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure all crew members utilize proper PPE.
• Investigate and report any incidents or near-misses immediately.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience
• Technical Knowledge: Proficient in reading blueprints and a thorough understanding of the NEC.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
