You will play a critical role in managing the engineering, maintenance and expansion project works in the field of Facilities Mechanical equipment and systems on site, to achieve continuous improvement of system robustness, reliability and efficiency with the necessary guidance and direction from Facilities organization. Your ability to achieve team target will help in accomplishing department and company goals.
Responisbilties:
- Respond and problem solving of system issues and production interruptions to mechanical related systems
- Plan, design and lead mechanical engineering projects includes new construction, system upgrading and quality improvement
- Identification, evaluation and potential implementation of advanced technology on Mechanical systems to improve electricity, waste or water reduction to align to Micron Environment Sustainability efforts
- Perform capacity tracking and planning for mechanical systems
- Enforce to company’s environmental safety health policy and procedure, standard operating procedure with risk assessment, good housekeeping standard and quality policy when performing work.
- Utilize computer base software to document and analyses records of maintenance work order, equipment history and project tracking.
- Plan and ensure execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for Facilities mechanical systems including HVAC, exhaust systems, scrubbers, process cooling water, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, Fire protection system and cleanroom air systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability
- Identification and enablement of smart technologies and AI for improvement of managed tasks, i.e.: project tracking, maintenance overviews, budget tracking, etc.
- To be capable in quality tool such as 8D & 5 WHY analysis for troubleshooting or incident management.
- To perform and manage procurement task for the facilities system equipment upkeep.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC or exhaust systems. Any academic projects or internships in these areas will be considered a plus.
- Familiarity with mechanical system maintenance concepts, procedures, or installation practices through coursework or hands-on training.
- Exposure to problem-solving tools like 8D or 5 WHY analysis is an advantage, but not mandatory. A strong willingness to learn and apply structured problem-solving techniques is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID, schematic diagrams, and single-line drawings. Training or coursework in technical drawing is beneficial.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated interest in the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry, especially in frontend fabrication or memory technologies.
- Good communication skills—both written and verbal. Ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
- A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
