General Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the construction business, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and compliance

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company objectives

• Monitor company performance, budgets, cash flow, and cost control

• Drive continuous improvement in operational processes and productivity

2. Project Management Oversight

• Lead and supervise multiple construction projects from planning to completion

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards

• Review project schedules, cost reports, variation claims, and risk assessments

• Resolve major project issues, disputes, and escalations

3. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with BCA, MOM, LTA, and other relevant authorities

• Oversee workplace safety, WSH requirements, and risk management practices

• Ensure adherence to contract terms, statutory requirements, and company policies

4. Team Leadership & Human Resource Management

• Lead, manage, and mentor project managers, engineers, site staff, and support teams

• Oversee manpower planning, foreign worker management, and subcontractor coordination

• Establish performance goals, conduct evaluations, and support staff development

5. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and industry engagements

• Support tendering, contract negotiations, and business development activities

6. Strategic Growth & Business Development

• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion

• Support tender evaluation, pricing strategies, and risk assessments

• Contribute to long-term company growth and sustainability strategies
