Junior Account Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Junior Accounts Executive to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate will possess foundational accounting knowledge and be capable of managing day-to-day financial tasks within a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining and updating Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) records.

• Support the preparation and posting of General Ledger (GL) entries.

• Manage and reconcile petty cash transactions accurately.

• Provide support with monthly wages and payroll processing when required.

• Assist in resolving accounting discrepancies, vendor issues, and internal queries promptly.

• Prepare basic financial reports and documentation for management review.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

• Collaborate closely with project teams, site personnel, and other departments to ensure timely information flow.

• Contribute as a reliable team player, maintaining a positive and cooperative working environment.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Basic understanding of AR, AP, GL, and petty cash management.

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

• Fast learner with the ability to think quickly and resolve issues effectively.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office; experience with accounting software is an advantage.

• Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
