Take full responsibility for the company’s day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and long-term development.
Lead the construction business in compliance with Singapore regulations, including BCA, MOM, and other relevant authorities.
Represent the company in dealings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
Oversee the full project lifecycle from tendering, planning, execution, and completion to final handover.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual, technical, and safety requirements.
Review and approve construction methods, project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.
Resolve major technical, contractual, or site issues escalated by project teams.
Provide strong technical leadership and guidance on construction methodologies, sequencing, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements.
Monitor site performance, productivity, quality control, and safety management systems.
Oversee project costing, budgeting, cash flow planning, and cost control.
Review and approve major expenditures, variation claims, subcontractor payments, and procurement strategies.
Work closely with finance and commercial teams to ensure healthy margins and sustainable profitability.
Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, site managers, engineers, and support teams.
Establish clear reporting structures, KPIs, and performance management systems.
Build a strong, disciplined, and accountable construction team culture.
Lead or support tender strategy, pricing, risk assessment, and contract negotiations.
Evaluate new business opportunities, project feasibility, and resource capacity.
Strengthen relationships with clients, consultants, and strategic partners.
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or related disciplines.
Professional qualifications or certifications (e.g. PE, PMP) are an advantage but not mandatory.
Minimum 10–15 years of hands-on experience in the construction or engineering industry.
Proven track record in managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
Prior experience as a Managing Director, Project Director, Construction Director, or Senior Project Manager is strongly preferred.
Solid exposure to Singapore’s construction environment, regulations, and industry practices.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, project controls, contracts, and site operations.
Deep understanding of project lifecycle management, including tendering, execution, and close-out.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, manpower, subcontractors, and risks effectively.
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
Familiar with BCA requirements, safety regulations, quality standards, and MOM requirements.
Experience dealing with statutory submissions, inspections, and compliance matters.
