Job Summary

You will perform electrical, control, and automation repair and installation work on ships at shipyards, anchorages, or overseas locations. When ships are not available, you will provide technical support and communication from the office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and automation control systems on ships to ensure operational reliability
• Install and maintain control equipment and instrumentation on board vessels following safety and quality standards
• Operate and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to support ship automation systems
• Use computer systems to manage technical documentation, communicate with customers, and provide remote support
• Travel to shipyards, anchorages, or overseas sites as required to perform on-site maintenance and installation
• Review and respond to technical emails to support customers and coordinate repair activities during off-ship periods
• Continuously learn and apply new skills in electrical and automation systems to improve work quality and efficiency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical, automation control system, PLC, or related fields
• Strong interest in learning and a hardworking attitude to adapt to varied work environments
