POSITION OVERVIEW

Curiox is seeking a mechanical design engineer, preferably with prior experience in designing and maintaining electro-mechanical machinery or instruments.

This position will be responsible for continuous improvement of the Curiox line of instruments. This position is located in Singapore.

The new hire will participate in new product development, including providing instrument design solutions, proof-of-concept prototypes, and supporting development activities. An ideal candidate will be expected to:

· work with contract developers and/or industrial partners for instrument development.

· work with in-house teams for knowledge transfer and training.

· prepare technical documentations.

· travel for project collaboration, knowledge transfer and product testing activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Perform design updates based on field feedback.

· Optimize designs for manufacturability and reliability.

· Provide innovative design solutions for new products, including consumables, accessories and instruments.

· Provide proof of concept and prototypes for new development and other in-house innovations.

· Work with contract developers and/or industrial partners for design and development of instrumentation.

· Work with internal production, QA and technical support team to ensure proper knowledge transfer.

· Cooperate and communicate with Curiox Korean technical staff for project downstream continuation.

· Provide technical knowledge and support for instrument documentation and certification.

· Assist technical support team in analyzing and troubleshooting instrument issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Master Eng. / B. Eng or better qualification in mechanical or other relevant engineering field.

· 2+ years of experience in mechanical design. Experience in electro-mechanical system/instrument design will be ad added advantage.

· Strong inclination for innovative ideas or methods to solve technical problems.

· Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

· Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.

· Strong communication skills with good command of the English. Ability to converse in Mandarin is preferred.

· Ability to converse in Korean will be an added advantage.

· Self-directed with strong work ethic and initiative.
