OPERATION MANAGER

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Plan, direct, and oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products or services.

2. Translate business objectives into operational plans and ensure execution aligns with company strategy.

3. Establish operational goals & performance standards

4. Analyze operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

5. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or best-practice methodologies.

6. Standardize operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance.

7.Optimize utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet operational demands.

8. Forecast operational capacity requirements and plan resources accordingly.

9. Manage shift planning, workload distribution, and productivity targets.
10. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.

11. Implement quality control systems and monitor operational performance against benchmarks.

12. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

13. Manage operational budgets and control expenses to meet financial targets.

14. Track operational costs and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.

15. Collaborate with finance to analyze cost structures and improve margins.

16. Lead, coach, and develop operations staff to achieve high performance and engagement.

17. Set clear expectations, conduct performance reviews, and address performance gaps.

18. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

19. Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.

20. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
