Painting Supervisor

• Improve work safety and work quality
• Ensure proper control and utilization of material resources under him
• Ensure rules and regulations of the Company and government are being complied with
• Supervise coating works
• Interpret specifications and explain painting requirements to chargehands
• Review the production work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Liaise with other sections, departments and owners on projects
• Supervise his workforce:
• Look after the welfare of his workers
• Ensure the discipline of his workers
• Ensure the safety
• Deploy and utilize manpower effectively
• Plan, organize and tasking of work to the chargehands and workers
• Control subcontractor’s workers
• Manage the career development and training of personnel

Requirement

• Degree or Diploma in any Engineering disciplines
• At least 3 years of related work experience for degree holder/ 4 years of related work experience for diploma holder/ 5 years of marine engineering work experience for those without tertiary education
• Possess knowledge and/ or experience in coating specifications
• Possess knowledge of capabilities and efficiency of painting and coating machines
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess good leadership, planning and decision-making skills
• Able to read and interpret drawings
• Able to assess quantity and quality of work
• Able to work in a team
• Well-versed with shipyard Permit-to-Work systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
