Main Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers to identify, prioritize, and drive process solutions for yield, reliability, and cost gaps in NAND technology nodes.
- Maintain a safe environment through proactive safety practices and ensure safety policies are always followed.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and manage a team of highly capable process engineers.
- Create a culture of innovation and tenacity within the group to meet the needs of accelerated technology cadence.
- Set strategy for future technology nodes and help define the roadmap.
- Engage with suppliers to develop the process and equipment needed to meet the technology roadmap.
- Collaborate with other departments to align on project priorities and deliver robust, manufacturing-friendly processes on time.
- Partner with Manufacturing fab for effective transfer, pilot ramp, and ongoing development to achieve TECHNODE gate criteria.
- Lead worldwide alignment efforts across technology to improve area effectiveness.
- Develop and optimize unit processes for advanced NAND parts, focusing on yield and quality.
- Quantify benefits of innovative solutions and prioritize key technology issues within the Singapore Wet Etch team.
- Collaborate with Boise TD peers on future nodes and translate device needs into process requirements.
- Identify disruptive processes early and work with global teams to define viable paths.
- Conduct research, hardware evaluations, and test novel applications, generating IP.
- Manage experiments to widen margins and test manufacturability.
- Simplify processes, implement best methods, and design advanced monitoring and control systems.
- Lead cross-functional projects, advise management on technical issues, and drive innovation through patents and papers.
- Collaborate globally and uphold Micron’s IP protection policy.
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide regular feedback to team members on performance, developing career plans, and mentoring them to support their professional development.
- Engage with Procurement & Operations Central Teams and other partners both locally and globally.
- Ensure strict adherence to Intellectual Property protection policies.
Job Requirements/Qualifications/Selection Criteria
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry with a background in Wet process.
- Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
- Proven leadership experience and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and technical skills with demonstrated success in engagement with worldwide teams.
- Deep understanding of process technologies such as Vapor etch, wet strip, etc.
- Familiarity with memory process flow, especially NAND.
- Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Y3) and DoE.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Proven ability to take calculated risks and execute new solutions.
- Recognized as a mentor, team builder, motivator, and technical expert with the ability to solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure.
