Procurement executive

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive with experience in the water industry to support the Company’s purchasing operations. The role involves supplier evaluation, sourcing, negotiation, purchase order management, and close coordination with project and service teams to ensure timely and compliant procurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate suppliers regularly to ensure approved vendors can meet the Company’s purchasing requirements, particularly for water treatment equipment, materials, and services

• Obtain quotations and negotiate contracts, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers / vendors / contractors

• Generate and issue Purchase Orders (PO) to suppliers / vendors / contractors in a timely and accurate manner

• Monitor delivery status of Purchase Orders and liaise with colleagues on PO progress and updates

• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

• Liaise with project and service teams on procurement-related issues, delivery timelines, and technical requirements

• Resolve procurement discrepancies and support smooth project execution

• Perform ad-hoc procurement duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 2–3 years of procurement experience, preferably in the water industry

• Familiar with water treatment equipment, chemicals, spare parts, and subcontractor sourcing

• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills

• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
