Production Technician

Job summary

The role involves ensuring continuous operation of production equipment, maintaining shop floor cleanliness (5S), and adhering to safety and housekeeping standards. Additionally, other tasks may be assigned to meet company objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up of braiding and extrusion molding machine including ancillary equipment.
• Responsible for operating braiding and extrusion molding machine including ancillary equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating of spare parts list of braiding and extrusion molding machine including ancillary equipment.
• Respond to machine alarms in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the continuous operation of production equipment.
• Responsible for housekeeping of the shop floor (5S)
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards/regulations are being maintained
• Any other responsibilities assigned by superior to meet company objective.

Education/Experience and Qualifications:

• ITE/NITEC or Form 3 and above
• Preferably a minimum of 1-year hands-on working experience in extrusion / braiding / molding in high volume manufacturing plant.
• Preferably experience in handling & troubleshooting of extrusion / braiding / molding or similar machines preferred
• Basic computer skill in Excel or Word
• Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Able to work overtime in weekday/weekend when required
• ISO quality system awareness
• Fresh graduates can be considered as on the job training will be provided
