Safety Officer / Immediate

To ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective workplace safety and health practices, complying with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and other relevant regulations.

• Compliance & Monitoring
  Ensure compliance with WSH Act, Environmental Protection Act, and relevant MOM guidelines.
  Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and eliminate hazards.
  Maintain and update statutory registers and documentation (e.g. Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures).
• Risk Management
  Assist in the development and implementation of Risk Assessments (RA), Method Statements, and Permit-To-Work systems.
  Investigate near misses, incidents, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Training & Communication
  Conduct safety induction and toolbox talks for workers.
  Promote safety culture through awareness campaigns, posters, and briefings.
  Liaise with contractors, site supervisors, and project managers on safety matters.
• Reporting & Documentation
  Maintain WSH records including safety inspection checklists, incident reports, and safety meeting minutes.
  Submit monthly WSH reports to relevant authorities (e.g., MOM, client safety officers).

Requirements:

• Qualifications:
  Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or relevant field.
  Certified WSH Coordinator / Advanced Certificate in WSH (by a MOM-recognised training provider).
  Registration with MOM as a WSH Officer (advantageous, if required by the project scale).
• Experience:
  At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in a construction, engineering, or industrial setting in Singapore.
• Skills:
  Knowledge of WSH legislation and risk management practices.
  Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  Able to work independently and in a team.

Additional Information:

• May be required to work at project sites across Singapore.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, bizSAFE Level 3 or above is a plus.
• 5 Days Work week (Monday - Friday) / Location : Sembawang
