Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage full sets of accounts, including month-end closing activities and the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely billing, collections, and payment processing.
- Reconcile bank statements, post journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for GST filing and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper accounting for all transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Minimun diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA Singapore) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a proven track record in a senior accounts role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Prior experience in supervising a team is advantageous.
