Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Dry Etch Equipment Engineer to join our dry etch team. In this critical role, you will lead fault diagnosis, spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, and drive equipment optimization effortsto ensure robust process performance and product quality. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth, hands-on experience with dry etch systems—including dielectric and metal etch—and possess strong technical expertise in vacuum and plasma technologies. Candidates with a demonstrated track record of leadership, particularly in managing associate engineers and technicians, will have a distinct advantage.

What You Will Do:

· Lead comprehensive fault investigations on dry etch equipment and drive continuous improvement initiatives to resolve chronic issues and ensure long-term process stability.

· Optimize equipment utilization, throughput, and overall efficiency through strategic resource management.

· Drive improvements in equipment reliability by enhancing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

· Develop, implement, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize tool uptime and performance.

· Collaborate closely with process engineering teams to fine-tune etch processes, with a focus on yield enhancement, uniformity, and device performance.

· Establish and maintain robust maintenance controls by regularly reviewing and updating preventive maintenance procedures, risk assessments, and troubleshooting documentation.

· Execute equipment upgrades and minor hardware modifications to improve tool capability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

· Identify and lead cost-reduction initiatives to eliminate unnecessary expenses and enhance overall equipment performance.

· Ensure availability and optimal management of spare parts and consumables to support uninterrupted maintenance operations.

· Partner with equipment vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement hardware enhancements for performance and reliability gains.

· Provide strong technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior engineers, associate engineers, and technicians.

· Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by managers to support evolving business objectives.

What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):

· Hands-on experience with dry etch equipment, including both dielectric and metal etch systems.

· Deep technical expertise in vacuum systems and plasma etch technologies.

· Extensive experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

· Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with a proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, associate engineers, and technicians.

· Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and effective project management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Education (Minimum Level)

· Bachelor's

Field of Study

Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related degree technical discipline.

Years of Experience (Minimum)

· 5-7 years
