Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on and adaptable Automation Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems at both our facility and customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site service, technical support, and commissioning of automation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site service, installation, and commissioning of automation systems at customer locations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues in PLCs, sensors, HMIs, actuators, and robotics.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
- Assist in the programming, testing, and modification of control systems (e.g., PLC, HMI).
- Support remote and on-site diagnostics to minimize customer downtime.
- Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Document service reports, repairs, and system modifications clearly and accurately.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users or customers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during field service activities.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service documentation in proper working order.
Requirements:
- Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years of experience in automation, field service, or control systems.
- Technical Skills:
Proficiency with PLC systems (e.g., Omron) and HMIs.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial sensor systems.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Soft Skills:
Good communication and customer service skills.
Able to work independently at customer sites under minimal supervision.
- Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel locally or regionally for on-site service.
Possess a valid international travel is required.
Willing to work flexible hours or be on-call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience in field service within industries such as manufacturing, packaging, food processing, or electronics.
- Exposure to SCADA systems, robotics, or machine vision technologies.
- Familiarity with safety standards and risk assessments in industrial settings.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role requiring regular travel to customer facilities.
- Work may include time in industrial environments, machine rooms, or factory floors.
- May require occasional lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces or at heights.
