Technician

Job Summary:

The Technician will support engineering and technical operations by assisting in equipment setup, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and general maintenance. The role involves working closely with engineers, and other team members to ensure smooth technical workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support & Operations

• Assist engineers in technical tasks, including equipment setup, calibration, and testing.
• Operate and maintain technical equipment under supervision.
• Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of machinery and systems.
• Provide hands-on support for experiments, prototype assembly, and process testing.

2. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of test results, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, technical documentation, and SOPs.
• Organize and update technical manuals, drawings, and work instructions.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation and data management.

3. Inventory & Materials Handling

• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for material requisitions.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all technical materials.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and company policies.
• Support safety inspections and promote proper use of PPE.
• Assist in implementing environmental and safety initiatives.

5. Team Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to support ongoing projects.
• Assist in onboarding and training for new equipment and procedures.
• Report technical issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.

Job Requirements:

1. Education & Experience:

§ Min Diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related technical field.

§ 1-3 years of experience in a technical support or assistant role (fresh graduates with relevant skills may be considered).

2. Skills & Competencies:

§ Basic understanding of technical equipment and troubleshooting.

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.

§ Proficiency in using measurement tools and instruments.

§ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is a plus.

§ Strong organizational and documentation skills.

§ Good communication and teamwork abilities.

§ Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a technical environment.

3. Additional Requirements:

§ Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

§ Hands-on experience in a laboratory, workshop, or production setting is an advantage.

§ Ability to lift moderate loads and work in a technical environment.
