Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator

Job Description

• Carry out duties as specified by WSH Act
• Assist in the implementation of the EHS management system
• Ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with applicable legal requirements
• Carry out daily WSH inspections including machinery, equipment, plant, and installation
• Functions as the Site EHS Assessor in the verification of hazardous works
• Conduct EHS induction courses for new employees and contractors
• Ensure that Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedures are brief to workers and sub-contractor
• Identify WSH hazards and implement control measures
• Preparation of monthly WSH reports Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Permit to works submission in accordance with Main Contractor requirements
• Ensure workers and sub-contractors comply with EHS Management System & applicable legal requirements
• Maintain, update and retain relevant records and certificates as required under the regulations required by the regulatory authorities
• Participate and facilitate Internal/External audits
• Conduct WSH and other related training
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager and Management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in construction
• Certification in WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety And Health (Level B)
• Certification in WSQ Perform Work At Height / WSQ Manage Work at Heights
• Certification in WSQ Perform Work in Confined Space Operation (PWCSO)
• Responsible and with a good communication skills and attitude
• A team player with and ability to work independently

Work Arrangements

• 6-day workweek
• Able to start immediately or within a short notice period
