I ordered the Char Siu spicy miso ramen. As someone who loves ramen, this ramen is not bad, but it's not the best either.
Eating this ramen made me feel very cozy and warm. However, what I didn't like about this ramen was that it wasn't spicy enough. As a spice lover, my go-to ramen option is always the spicy one. Though it wasn't a huge disappointment that the broth wasn't spicy (to me), I found the broth to be very rich and flavorful.
However, for this price, there are better ramen out there. If the spicy miso ramen were spicier, I would really love this ramen.
Side note: I added a lot of the spice powder, but it wasn't spicy at all.
Ordered the basic tonkatsu ramen and miso ramen. I preferred the miso soup because itβs more flavourful, but it can get a bit jelat and saltier as you eat π€£. I love the spring onions! My family preferred the tonkatsu ramen.
Easily one of the best value-for-money ramen you can get, priced at just $9 (including GST), and it's self-service.
The ramen features yellow, springy noodles, a rich and flavourful broth, and fresh ingredients that make it fulfilling, not to mention a beautiful jelly half-egg on the side.
The only downside is that the meat comes in a few thin slices.
Regardless, it's a great ramen option for those on a budget.
My first time at this ramen eatery. Opted for their set meal and miso ramen. Thanks to the staff who added extra edamame. Hot green tea is refillable with hot water. Surprised to see this eatery also serves fried rice π
I tried the tonkotsu char siew ramen, and I would say it's an above-average bowl of ramen. The broth is thick and has a rich texture. The ramen itself is also delicious and springy. You will have no complaints about it. The add-on, with a top-up of $4, comes with a can of drink, 2 pieces of freshly fried chicken karaage, and a few edamame. The total cost was about $15, which is an average price for ramen in a shopping center.
This place just took over another Japanese fusion cafe. For $8.50, the cheapest ramen was okay. The meat was almost razor-thin, though. At least the broth was quite thick and tasty. Maybe the other higher-end choices would be more satisfying, but I felt this didn't hit the spot.
Pretty decent ramen and great-tasting soup. I quite liked the spicy miso ramen. Staff are friendly. There's a self-service ordering machine and pickup. They provide most sauces and also free tissues.
No complaints. I will be back to try the other ramen specials in future at Canberra Plaza again.
