JULY 2023
I think they changed their tartare sauce. It doesn’t taste like McDonald’s tartare sauce anymore; it's more like mayonnaise. Not as nice, missing the pickle taste. But the fried fish/grilled chicken is generally still good, though the fries are soggy.

So far, I’ve tried their yong tau foo, which is pretty good as they can re-fry your items. And their Western dishes. Their fish and tartare sauce taste like McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish.
Avoid this stall in the Kopitiam that sells very expensive Nasi Padang with very small portions. I can have 2 plates of mixed veg rice elsewhere & still have some change.
Fish $4.50
Sotong $3.00
Curry Veg $1.50
Rice $1.00
Total: $10
Tried the QQ LaMian from the Fish Soup and Ban Mian stall (真能煮). It was disappointingly bad! The noodles, which cost $4.80, are not even fully cooked. Unbelievable...
Very bad attitude from the nasi lemak store. On 17/7/22 at 9:30 AM, one Indian man and a Malay lady both acted as if they were deaf. When asked how long we would need to wait, the man replied angrily, "Depends on what you order, lah." How to order when both were acting deaf and didn't even want to look up?
Ate at the western stall. They use zig zag (that's how I call it) fries. Crispy on the outside and cooked nicely inside. They use chicken thigh meat. Skin was crispy, and the meat was not overly cooked. The taste is just nice. I opted out of the sauce, and it was already quite savory. So, for those with heavier taste buds, ask for sauce to be drizzled. $8 for a chop is normal in a shopping context. It's air-conditioned and clean. I would eat here again if I'm in the area.
Here are a few options, keeping the original's informal tone where appropriate:
**Option 1 (Slightly more formal):**
"They offer the cheapest coffee set, but the toast was so hard because they had pre-prepared a lot. It was really bad — like the worst toast I had ever had."
**Option 2 (Closer to original flow):**
"They offer the cheapest coffee set, but the toast was so hard because they had pre-prepared a lot, and it was really bad — like the worst toast I had ever had."
I'll go with **Option 2** as it maintains the single-sentence flow of the original more closely while fixing the issues.
**Edited review:** "They offer the cheapest coffee set, but the toast was so hard because they had pre-prepared a lot, and it was really bad — like the worst toast I had ever had."
