Nice halal food court in the HDB Canberra estate. The stalls offer budget-friendly meals in a clean, air-conditioned environment.

My husband ordered fried fish soup for me here, and the aunty was so rude. I feel like people who work here, especially in food and beverage, should really learn the basics of English. They don't have to be fluent. Then she got angry at my husband because he couldn't understand Chinese (my husband is Malay 😭). We didn't mind that, actually. But when we ordered, we asked to have the fish separated because it's fried and it would be soggy by the time he reached home. But the aunty didn't do that. So my husband told her that he had requested the fish to be separated. But the aunty scolded him for asking... All I can say is, aunty, I'm sorry my husband can't speak Chinese, but please don't scold him. We also didn't scold you for not understanding English 😭. Fried fish stall, I hope you have at least one English-speaking person to help her out... We also requested milk to be added to the soup, but she didn't do that either. My husband was too lazy to ask again, afraid the aunty would scold him.

I've only had ytf here because it's a typical ytf stall in food courts. The food is edible, and service is quick. Paying with the NTUC app gets you a 10% discount, so it's quite affordable. The one thing I can't stand is that patrons already do their part by returning their trays, but the cleaner, an auntie with a hairband and apron, sits there like a "Dua pek gong," using her phone, drinking coffee, and people-watching. She doesn't even bother to wipe the tables that are wet or dirty with food. The other cleaner was okay and quite proactive, but was clearing the self-return rack. Also, she can take the trays from the stall to re-wipe them on the table (as seen in the 3rd picture), but cannot wipe the crumbs and clean that particular table. Then she moved to another cleaner's table to wipe the trays. I really don't understand! Also, if you're having breakfast before 9 am, be prepared to feel very warm. The plaza management only turns on the air conditioning from 9 am onwards.

Good food, good service, and excellent cleanliness. It's so nice that I ate the utensils too. (After picture posted)

A food court nestled right in the middle of Heartland Mall Canberra Plaza, it's a haunt for reasonably priced, okay food when you don't feel like paying exorbitant prices. I tried the Malay Chicken rice store (HALAL). It was lovely, and the portion was quite big for my liking (and that’s good). Inflation has clearly left this place untouched, and trust me, I'll be back. The coffee stall runs a popular set of coffee, eggs, and toast, providing ample competition to the Yakun 2 storefronts down the way. Definitely try this place if you're around here.

The wait wasn't long, the air conditioning was very cool, but I still enjoyed the dessert (durian ice kacang) here.

"All halal food, but it's quite expensive. It's best to grab your NTUC membership when you order breakfast to get a discount."

The portion at the ban mian stall was dismal. We were charged for extra meat but received an appalling portion, less than what you'd typically get at other ban mian stalls.
