Ordered the basic tonkatsu ramen and miso ramen. I preferred the miso soup because itβs more flavourful, but it can get a bit jelat and saltier as you eat π€£. I love the spring onions! My family preferred the tonkatsu ramen.

I ordered their Tonkotsu ramen, but the broth didn't taste like real pig bone broth. The noodles were lousy quality. The chashu was thin, and I also didn't like the idea of them putting so many sesame seeds into the ramen. I don't think I will come back again.

The ramen was surprisingly very nice. It's made to order, so it's served piping hot. (It's self-service: order and pick-up.) I ordered the spicy Tonkotsu ramen, and it was really spicy compared to the miso-based one. The former broth looks lighter but tasted very rich. I added the set with a side and drink; it was $13 for the set I chose. The noodles were springy and pleasantly chewy. However, the portion might be small for some if you are feeling hungry.

The broth is good and the rest is pretty decent. Love that the ramen had pieces of cabbage inside, and the sides were good too. The gyoza is okay but the takoyaki is a bit too floury.

Honestly, the noodles are the type I like, and the soup was piping hot. They cook one by one to ensure consistently good quality for all bowls of ramen. π No GST or service charge. A bowl of ramen starts from $9. Staff greet you upon arrival and as you leave, just like in π―π΅. Didn't expect Canberra would have this hidden gem. Will come back for this comforting ramen! π

Hidden in Canberra Plaza, this ramen shop is situated near the 1st floor escalator. To find it, look for KFC and Ngee Soon Jewellery. Actually, we came into this shop by chance, as our intention was to eat at the Chinese restaurant (one level up). This is a self-ordering concept. Find your seats while another person makes orders at the self-ordering kiosk. Make payment and wait for your food. Wait time for food was about 10 minutes. We ordered Tonkotsu ramen, spicy Tonkotsu ramen, and spicy Shoyu ramen. Ordering a set is a better choice, as we got to taste their side dishes. The ramen was very tasty. The noodles were chewy. The soup was thick and not overwhelming. With a sprinkle of white sesame seeds, the ramen dish immediately got a taste upgrade. The hot spring egg was well prepared, with a creamy and shiny yolk and soft egg whites. Side dishes: The takoyaki was very flavorful. Very fresh, soft and flowy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. The sprinkled katsuobushi had a very good smoked flavor. The chicken karaage was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was moist, and the coating was crispy yet surprisingly soft. The Cheese Gyoza was really flavorful. The meat and vegetables were well mixed. With the burnt cheese... π We ended up ordering two of the side dishes again. We got bigger portions. Ha... A great place to come again.

Pretty decent ramen and great-tasting soup. I quite liked the spicy miso ramen. Staff are friendly. There's a self-service ordering machine and pickup. They provide most sauces and also free tissues. No complaints. I will be back to try the other ramen specials in future at Canberra Plaza again.

First time trying this Char Siew Ramen ($10.00 per bowl) with my mom. Her verdict for this dish: the noodles tasted like wonton mee, the soup was too salty, and the meat slices were very thinβ'cheng bo hua' (Hokkien). I totally agreed. The best ramen I've tried so far is Kanada-Ya, and none has come close to matching it yet.
