I recently purchased a hash brown with maple syrup at Canberra Plaza outlet. When I requested a little more syrup to go with it, I was informed that there would be a $1.20 charge for the extra portion. While I understand the need to charge for additional items, I was surprised by the amount requested, especially considering that the extra syrup portion would have been excessive for the small serving of hash brown. It felt more like an upsell than a thoughtful suggestion, and did not reflect good customer service or value. I believe staff should be more mindful of proportion and context when offering add-ons to customers, and ideally suggest options that are appropriate and reasonable. I hope this feedback will be taken constructively to improve future service. To be honest, I hardly saw any maple syrup on my hash brown.
