R&D Engineer

Location: Sembawang

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon to Fri)

Salary: SGD 2,800 – 4,500

Job Description

The R&D Engineer will support product research, testing, development, and technical transfer while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct experimental research and analyse chemical properties of products and compounds
Develop new products, test methods, and improve raw materials or existing formulations
Perform product testing, trial runs, and inspections
Provide technical support and collaborate with customers on product/application development
Prepare quality system documentation, including R&D reports, test methods, SOPs, and risk analysis
Support customer and certification audits
Coordinate technical transfer to production and grade transfers from other plants
Source and manage procurement of testing equipment and machines
Work closely with internal departments to resolve technical issues
Participate in company-wide projects and initiatives

Requirements

Degree in Science, Chemical Process, Engineering, or related discipline
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, especially in failure analysis and estimation
Good conceptual, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Customer-focused, proactive, responsible, and able to work well in teams
Relevant working experience preferred
