Responsibilities

• Receive, code, and match invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports to ensure accuracy and prevent payment errors
• Schedule and process payments via bank transfers, cheques, or GIRO, ensuring adherence to company policies and timely disbursement
• Reconcile vendor statements with the accounts payable ledger and analyze aging reports to optimize cash flow management
• Manage tax-related processes including VAT, GST, and withholding tax to maintain compliance and prepare audit-ready documentation
• Resolve billing disputes by collaborating effectively with vendors and internal departments to maintain strong business relationships

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP or NetSuite and advanced Excel skills

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous experience in finance, specifically within accounts payable
• Strong analytical skills demonstrated through accurate financial reconciliation and reporting
• Effective communication skills applied in resolving vendor disputes and cross-department collaboration
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy and compliance in invoice processing and payment execution
