Accounts Payable Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring they match purchase orders and receipts to avoid discrepancies.
• Close monitoring of funds to ensure sufficient funds are available for payment.
• Schedule and execute payments, adhering to payment terms to maintain good vendor relationship.
• Ensure the monthly closing of accounts payable and year-end accounts payables reports are in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Ensure internal controls and policies are complied with group policies, local statutory, taxes and audit requirements
• Any other ad-hoc duties or responsibilities assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENT

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Able to work independently and lead a small AP team
• Proficient in English language – written and spoken
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, be independent and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Can-do attitude and a self-starter
• High problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experienced with Sage, SQL Accounting system is a plus
