Associate Engineer/Engineer(Facilities)

• Oversee all the new construction/installation of production and office expansion project and actively involved in all the design work and specification before finalisation or design freeze.
• Work closely with Industrial Engineering(IE) team and end users to define project intention and translate the intention into installed system to meet the its function and performance.
• Coordinate for any new tools and utilities hook up or tools relocation activities.
• Responsible for coordinating and supervising subcontractors works on site to ensure compliance to internal Safety guidelines and jobs specification.
• Ensure timely completion, safety and quality standards of project works.
• Prepare and update all site reports and closely monitor the progress of the project including submission of weekly report to Director.
• Liaise with end user/IE to define the scope of work, work methods, technical specifications of the services.
• Generate Request For Quote(RFQ) and arrange sitewalk with contractors to explain the project/hookup expectations.
• Perform project cost estimation, participating in technical/engineering evaluation of all bidding packages with Purchasing.
• After completion of project, responsible to ensure all payments are regularized, projects are buy-off according to procedures. Project closure documentation are obtained like O&M manual, as built drawings, T&C records, all regulatory certificate, Spare part listing and contractor/vendor listing.
• Oversee the facility gas operation and maintenance, including but not limited to ad hoc job such as regulator replacement, filter replacement, etc.
• Drive new materials & second source materials qualifications for cost optimisation.
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Director/Manager.

What we’re looking for

• Diploma. Degree in any Engineering.

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience for Degree.   

• Possess good project management skills, e.g. able to identify critical path and well verse in Project planning.

• Possess good supervision and management skill especially contractor management.

• Possess good supervision and management for Project Safety execution and Code compliance especially like working at height, hoisting & Hot Work.

• Possess strong proficiency in MS Powerpoint/Excel application is needed. Familiarity with authorities’ requirements will be an added advantage.
