Associate R&D Engineer

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Developing new processes, materials and applications.
• Generating material and component specifications.
• Generating test protocols, reports and manufacturing instructions.
• Organizing and maintaining experimental lab.
• Generating engineering drawings of devices and fixtures.
• Prototyping and building devices and fixtures for design evaluation and testing.
• Assisting in development of assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Testing and other design evaluation, verification and validation activities per written and verbal test procedures.
• Documenting of test results.
• Inspecting components, sub-assemblies and finals assemblies for pilot builds.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

• Able to communicate effectively and clearly, through verbal and written means.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to support product development, manufacturing and release.
• Able to perform other activities as necessary and as directed by Senior Management.
• Any other matters as decided by company.

Minimum Education Required:

• BEngg or equivalent degree in technical area.

Additional Qualifications Required:

• Must have experience in design / product development, preferably in medical device industry.
• Previous experience in catheters and stents will be a plus.
• Experience with using 3D CAD software (eg. Solidworks, AutoCAD).

Minimum Experience:

• 1-2 years’ experience in design / product development, preferably in medical device environment.
• Fresh Graduate will be considered.
• Computer and manual skills experience a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Working Conditions:

• Office environment
• No medical conditions preventing access to the controlled production areas.

Note:

1. Minimum Education requirement can be waived if the previous work experience is critically relevant to the specific role.

2. Minimum Experience requirement can be waived if the educational qualification is excellent and critically relevant to the specific role.

3. Although experience in medical device field is preferable, experience in other disciplines like precision manufacturing, aerospace engineering or something similar, can also be counted towards relevant experience.
