Business Development Manager (Education & Enrichment Programs)

We specialise in enrichment programs and curriculum development, and are now expanding globally to bring our experiential learning approach to markets such as China and beyond.

Job Responsibilities

- Lead business development efforts to expand Smiling Star’s enrichment programs and curriculum licensing locally and overseas.

- Identify new business opportunities, partners, and distribution channels, with a focus on international markets (especially China).

- Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, and build long-term strategic partnerships.

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide business expansion strategies.

- Manage client relationships and oversee accounts to ensure successful delivery and retention.

- Collaborate with internal teams (curriculum, marketing, operations) to drive business growth.

Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related fields (other backgrounds considered with relevant skills).

- Prior experience in sales, business development, customer service, account management, or partnership management is advantageous — experience from other industries (e.g. hospitality, wellness, retail, or services) is welcomed.

- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.

- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn about the education and enrichment sector.

- Passionate about contributing to children’s learning and being part of a brand with global growth ambitions.

- Singapore Citizen or PR only.

Salary: SGD 5,000 – 6,500 (commensurate with experience)

Location: Singapore HQ (occasional overseas travel)
