Carpenter

Job Responsibilities:

• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
• Translate drawings over to workable and buildable projects
• Cut, shape timber according to measurements/requirements
• Installation of wooden fixtures such as cabinets or shelving unit
• Maintenance of differing wooden fixtures or repairs
• Prepare accurate measurements specifications by using rulers, plumb bops, levels, framing squares
• Designing items or components of items according to drawings
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Can speak and write basic English
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Good understanding of basic Math
• Good physical condition and endurance
• Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
