Job Description
We are looking for dynamic and independent candidates to join us as Catering Delivery Drivers in the catering industry! A catering delivery driver is responsible for transporting food, beverages, tingkat, and related items to various events, venues, or clients' locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service abilities, and attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate delivery of catering orders.
Responsibilities
- Report to and assist the Operations Manager with the entire catering operations.
- Responsible for safe, efficient transportation and delivery of customer catering orders while practicing safe food handling procedures at all times.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to minimize travel time and ensure timely delivery of catering orders. Manage time effectively to handle multiple deliveries or pickups within designated timeframes.
- Load and unload equipment and food on and off catering vans.
- Check order sheets while loading catering vans to ensure all equipment, food, and supplies being sent are correct.
- Adhere to established procedures and protocols for food safety, sanitation, and handling of catering items. Maintain precise records of deliveries, including customer signatures, delivery times, and any discrepancies from the original order. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies related to the transportation and delivery of food and beverages.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle including fuel levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related industry.
- Must have a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills to converse with customers.
- Able to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
- Able to start immediately.
