Chemist / Lab Technician

Roles & Responsibilities

• To support/assist the lab supervisors/chemists by performing routine and ad-hoc laboratory analysis on production tank samples, to support plant operations for the purpose of quality assurance/control.
• Learn and practice good manufacturing standards for plating in surface treatment.
• Maintain documentation for work procedures in accordance to ISO standards.
• Comply with Company’s policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Perform calibration and maintenance of lab equipments.
• Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and records, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues.
• Prepare chemical solutions.

Requirements

• Relevant background in Chemical/Process/Technical Engineering
• 1 to 3 years working experience in plating manufacturing (preferred/optional)
• Computer-literate with knowledge of MS Office applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Ability to write and speak English fluently.
• Meticulous and organized, with the ability to multi-task
• A good team player with strong initiative and an analytical mind
• Willing to work in the Woodlands area and perform rotating work-shifts if required
