Job Summary

Prepare and cook Kerala cuisine dishes to meet client specifications, maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety, and collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver a high-quality dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean food preparation areas following legal standards and company policies to ensure hygiene and safety
• Prepare Kerala dishes according to client specifications and recipes
• Make Kerala porotta dough daily to maintain consistent quality
• Adjust food ingredients to accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary needs
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure food is served at the correct temperature
• Season food accurately based on recipes or company requirements
• Order ingredients and spices timely to maintain kitchen inventory
• Operate kitchen appliances such as blenders, ovens, grills, and stand mixers safely and efficiently
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food according to client preferences to enhance presentation
• Assist other cooks during food assembly to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Estimate expected food consumption to organize preparation and reduce waste
• Develop and prepare new menu items for specials or promotional deals
• Butcher and cook animal meat appropriately to match the restaurant’s style and atmosphere
• Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction with their meal experience
• Prepare sauces and accompaniments before meal service to support timely delivery
• Remain available until the last customer leaves to support closing operations
• Clean kitchen and dining areas thoroughly after business hours
• Apply specialized skills in Kerala cuisine to maintain authentic flavors and quality
