Deputy Manager, Research & Development

Main Job Responsibiltiies:

- New products development.

- Participate as a member in development projects with customers and research consortiums.

- Conduct modifications to existing products to meet customers’ requirements.

- Engage in technology transfer to production and grade transfer from other Sumitomo Bakelite’s plant.

- Engage in plant cross functional team be it related to plant issues or customer issues

- Handle various customers and certification audits.

- Co-ordinate and conduct internal training on technical issues for various groups.

- Conduct fundamental research and new process evaluation study.

- Supervise On-the-job-training for new engineers.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

- Degree in Material Science, Chemical Process or Engineering discipline.

- Leadership abilities and customer focused.

- Drive for continuous improvement.

- Team player.

- Good communication skills.
