Facility Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead a team of technicians to ensure efficient management of maintenance programs and rectification jobs.
• Thermal Comfort: Ensure daily thermal comfort in cold rooms is maintained within acceptable limits.
• Maintenance Planning: Plan and supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance activities for cold room and automated storage racking systems under the Facilities organization.
• Resource Allocation: Prioritize and reallocate resources as needed for maintenance tasks.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead and participate in root cause analysis for equipment and system abnormalities, attend review meetings, provide updates, and execute corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement.
• Installation and Modification: Oversee installation and modification work on existing or new mechanical equipment and systems, specifically focusing on cold room and automated storage racking systems.
• Efficiency Improvement: Implement operational process improvements and innovate systems for energy conservation.
• Standby Duty: Perform standby/duty to attend to system faults after office hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Minimize Downtime: Ensure minimal downtime for facilities, building, and services systems during operation.
• Quality and Safety: Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• SAP Integration: Utilize SAP for maintenance planning, resource allocation, and tracking of maintenance activities.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in PLC or a related field, with specific experience in cold room systems and automated storage racking systems.
• Regulations Knowledge: Thorough understanding of building regulations and health and safety protocols.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-engineering team members.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
• SAP Proficiency: Experience with SAP for maintenance management and resource planning.
