Job Summary
As a Packer in our e-commerce fulfillment center, you will prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipping. Your role ensures customers receive the correct products in excellent condition and on time.
Responsibilities
- Pick items accurately from inventory using order slips or digital order systems to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack products carefully using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping labels, invoices, and necessary documentation to ensure smooth delivery.
- Inspect orders to confirm they meet quality standards before shipping to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Report damaged or missing inventory promptly to the supervisor to support inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow health and safety guidelines consistently to ensure a safe workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets and support operational goals.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms or order management systems to improve order processing accuracy.
- Ability to perform packing tasks quickly with strong attention to detail to maintain quality standards.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and safety practices to support daily operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines to ensure timely order completion.
- Ability to stand for extended periods to perform physical packing duties.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within the team.
- Mandarin speaking ability and ability to read Chinese characters to liaise with Chinese-speaking colleagues.
Working Conditions:
- Physical role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm; alternate Saturdays, 9am to 5pm.
- Monthly salary: $1,800 with opportunity for additional income through overtime.
