General Manager (Business Engineering & Information System)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Division: Business Engineering & Information System Division

Reports to: Director of Administration Division Group, Managing Director

Functional relationships:

- ASEAN and India Sales and Marketing companies, Singapore manufacturing business units, and the other group companies - each IT team and business unit

POSITION PROFILE:

Based in: Singapore

Job site: Yishun

This position is responsible for developing the regional IT strategy to lead and supervise the Singapore IT team and provide the best IT services for the ASEAN and India regions, working closely with Japan headquarters.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Align the policy, strategy, and direction with the global strategy through close communication with the other executives in Japan HQ and the other group companies.
• Customize the global policy headed by Japan HQ, including any local requirements to implement and permeate to the ASEAN and India region.
• Organize and supervise the Singapore IT team from recruitment strategy-making to hiring, developing, and retaining staff based on the human resource strategy.
• Responsible for high-quality, consistently clear, and regular communications to provide our IT services to all business units in the ASEAN and India region.
• Embrace operational excellence at all levels of IT services and operations in the ASEAN and India region.

Ability/Competency required:

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in the information technology field.
• Minimum 5 years experiences of supervising IT team
• Experience in general IT governance (corporate management, technology evaluation, vendor management, program planning)
• Proficient in Japanese language. Required to liaise in Japanese Language with HQ in Japan to support communication with Japan and other overseas affiliates.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Information Technology Infrastructure Library, Certified Information Security, or Project Management Professional) are preferable.
• Logical thinking, meticulousness, and good attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and strong communication skills, conceptual skills, and interpersonal skills.
