Job Summary:


The Head of Investor Relations is responsible for leading the execution of the company’s comprehensive investor relations program to provide an accurate, timely, and insightful view of the company’s long-term strategic, operational, financial vision, plans, and performance to key stakeholders. This role entails close engagement with ASMPT’s analysts and key investors, and regular interactions with senior management and business teams, financial planning and analysis, accounting, internal legal counsel, and the corporate communications teams. The IR role has high exposure to both internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent is an influential leader who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.


Responsibilities:


Investor Relations Strategy & Execution

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive investor relations program to provide an accurate, timely, and insightful view of the company’s long-term strategic, operational, and financial vision, plans, and performance to key stakeholders.
  • Plans and executes a strategy for proactive outreach to existing and new shareholders, analysts, and prospective investors to enhance the company’s visibility in the investment community and increase shareholder diversity
  • Monitors and enhances the company's positioning within the investment community by maintaining strong relationships with institutional investors, retail investors, and analysts

Earnings & Financial Communications

  • Leads the quarterly earnings process, including preparing and finalizing MD&A (Management Discussion and Analysis), supporting press releases, preparing conference call scripts, Q&A, and all other investor presentation materials.
  • Orchestrates investor and analyst interactions around earnings, ensuring consistent and transparent messaging.
  • Develops key messaging for all non-earnings-related events, including talking points and presentation materials for annual meetings, financial media, industry conferences, and one-on-one investor meetings.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial reporting and disclosure requirements, aligning messaging with corporate goals.
  • Contributes to external reporting, public disclosure, internal and external financial communication.

Stakeholder & Investment Community Engagement

  • Serves as the primary contact with the investment community, handling investor inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Manages and oversees sell-side analyst relationships, including tracking consensus estimates, reviewing financial models, and providing insights on analyst coverage.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key institutional investors, ensuring ongoing engagement and clear communication regarding the company’s strategy and performance.
  • Supports and prepares executive leadership for investor roadshows, conferences, and other key engagements with the investment community.
  • Provides training for next tier senior leaders if/when interactions with investor community is needed.

Collaboration & Advisory

  • Cross-collaborates with partners in finance, legal, corporate communications, corporate responsibility, marketing, and other functions to ensure alignment of investor messaging with corporate strategy.
  • Provides perspective and counsel to senior leadership regarding strategic and tactical financial communications, disclosure compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with senior leadership to align investor relations initiatives with long-term business goals and growth strategies.

Competitive Intelligence & Industry Insights

  • Leads timely competitive intelligence efforts to track, analyze, and distribute insights about key competitors, customers, and industry trends, including financial results, product initiatives, and strategic moves.
  • Identifies and benchmarks key financial and non-financial performance metrics against competitors and peers.
  • Keeps abreast of best IR practices, regulatory changes, and market trends to drive continuous improvements in investor relations strategies.
  • Monitors macroeconomic trends, sector-specific risks, and capital markets dynamics that may impact the company’s valuation and investor sentiment.
  • Collaborating with business market intelligence teams with information sharing to monitor market and technology trends closely

Regulatory & Governance Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with all SEC regulations, stock exchange requirements, and other investor-related disclosure mandates.
  • Monitors and implements best practices for financial transparency, governance, and sustainability reporting.
  • Manages the preparation of annual reports, proxy statements, and other shareholder communications to align with corporate governance standards.


Requirements:


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • An MBA, FMVA certification, or CFA designation is a strong asset.

Experience & Industry Expertise

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Investor Relations or Capital Markets.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts, and the broader investment community.
  • Experience advising senior leadership and executive teams on financial communications, investor strategies, and disclosure practices.
  • Semiconductor industry experience is preferred.

Capital Markets & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of capital markets, investment strategies, and key financial metrics relevant to the industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HKEX regulations, securities disclosure requirements, and financial reporting obligations.
  • Expertise in financial modeling techniques, valuation methodologies, and the analytical frameworks used by investors and analysts.
  • Strong grasp of macroeconomics, capital market trends, competitor activities, industry dynamics, and customer behavior.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, clear, and strategic messages for investors, analysts, and employees.
  • Strong ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Results oriented to ensure timely deliverables; demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, including Finance, Legal, Corporate Communications, Operations, and Business Units.
  • Self-starter with exceptional teamwork attributes and leadership presence.
