Laboratory Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a Laboratory Specialist I to join our team. In this role, you will perform

laboratory procedures, support quality operations, and ensure compliance with established

protocols and safety standards. You will work closely with senior laboratory staff and

contribute to the processing, storage, and reporting of laboratory samples.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laboratory tasks with minimal supervision.
• Process and store umbilical cord blood units, cord tissue, and lenticules in accordance with approved procedures.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards.
• Generate accurate clinical reports and documentation.
• Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of new lab protocols and procedures.
• Provide guidance to junior lab staff on processes and protocols when required.
• Support inventory management to ensure adequate lab supplies.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving routine technical issues under senior guidance.
• Collaborate closely with the Laboratory Manager and Assistant Laboratory Manager for smooth operations.
