M&E Co-Ordinator

Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise daily M&E site activities (Mechanical and Electrical works).

• Coordinate M&E works with civil, architectural, and other trades.

• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.

• Monitor work progress and report daily/weekly status to the Project Manager
  Lead, allocate, and supervise foremen, technicians, and workers.

  Conduct toolbox meetings and site briefings
  
  Requirements:

  Education & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent.

  • BCA Core Trade certification (Compulsory).

  • Trade certification or recognized technical qualification in M&E is an advantage.

  • Safety certification such as BCSS or equivalent is preferred.

  Experience

  • Minimum 8–14 years of experience in M&E works within construction projects.

  • Proven experience as an M&E Supervisor or General Foreman.

  • Experience in commercial, residential, industrial or Any Government construction projects preferred.

  Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and/or electrical systems (LV, ELV, power, lighting).

  • Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, schematics, and specifications.

  • Familiar with testing & commissioning procedures.

  • Knowledge of local authority regulations and M&E standards.

  Leadership & Personal Skills

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Good communication, coordination abilities with foreigner workers (Malaysian, Myanmar, Indian, Bangladeshi workers)

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.

  Working Conditions

  • Site-based role.

  • May require extended working hours, weekends, or shifts depending on project demands.

  • Exposure to construction site environments.
