Mechanical R&D Drafter/Engineer

Description:-

• Report to R&D Manager
• Design and prepare manufacturing drawings of electrical switchboards
• Assemble modular drawings base on the panel design
• Perform Weight, Heat loss calculations and Air Flow simulations as required
• Prepare Material Order Lists for Mechanical parts
• Liaise with vendors for Material enquiries
• Work closely with Manufacturing & Production team
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements:-

• Minimum Diploma/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge in BIM, VertexG4 and AutoCad M&E 3D drawings
• Mechanical background with 2D and 3D drafting skills
• Able to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and specifications, recognize and identify different types of materials/sheet metals used in switchboards
• Proficient in 3D software, flat pattern development, PC skills and able to learn new software applications quickly
• Attention to details with capability of self-checking for accuracy
