Oracle Database Administrator

Key responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and optimise Oracle database environments

• Implement and manage Oracle RAC environments

• Perform database installations, upgrades, and patches

• Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies

• Monitor database performance and tune for optimal efficiency

• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness

• Automate common database maintenance tasks

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient database design

• Implement and maintain database security measures

• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations

• Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification

• Proven experience implementing and managing Oracle RAC

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, Perl) for automation

• Preferred Skills:

o Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification

o Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools

o Familiarity with database compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA)

o Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
